Flowing Lifelines Workshop - BHCAG.JPG

The Broken Hill City Art Gallery houses a collection of more than 2000 objects in the original Sully’s Emporium. The Gallery presents an annual program of exhibitions by local, state, national and international artists and collectives, including two annual prizes – the Pro Hart Outback Art Prize and the Maari Ma Indigenous Art Awards.

The Broken Hill City Art Gallery is committed to community engagement and arts education, working closely with students and artists from Broken Hill, Menindee, and Wilcannia. The Gallery has recently launched it’s Open Cut Commission, an annual opportunity awarded to two artists or collectives to undertake field work in the Far West of NSW to develop a creative, responsive project.
